Notion to Slack Automation Saves 4 Hours Weekly on Reporting
A client was struggling with a manual, time-consuming, and tedious process of generating and sending weekly client reports.
A simple one-click automation between Notion and Slack eliminated the need to create them manually, saving the client 4 hours every single week.
Problem
The client was spending 4-5 hours each week manually compiling and formatting weekly reports for their clients. This process was repetitive, time-consuming, and tedious. The core problem was the manual effort required to gather data from Notion and present it in a specifically formatted report for each client.
Solution
We've built an automation using Notion and Slacknative connection, embedded into a "Send Report" button within each client's Week inside the Agencies Notion management system (which we also refined). Here's how it works:
One-Click Trigger: The user simply clicks the button in a specific week's entry in Notion.
Automated Data Pull: The automation pulls all the necessary statistics and data for that specific week and client from the Notion database.
Formatted Slack Message: It then automatically formats this information in a needed way and sends it to a designated Slack channel, dynamically tagging the relevant client.
Results
The clientsaves approximately 4 hours of manual work every week, freeing them up to focus on more important, value-adding activities.
Elimination of Manual Error: Automating the data transfer and formatting process removes the risk of human error in the reports.
