An automation solution using
Notion and
Zapier was implemented.
- Notion: Custom properties ("project name," "reassigned") and technical fields were created to guide sync logic.
- Zapier:New Item Sync: After a brief delay for data entry, new eligible tasks were duplicated in other accounts, linking them with technical IDs.
- Updated Item Sync: A flow identified if an update was on a "parent" (original) or "child" (synced) item. It then updated the corresponding item in the other account. If no link existed, a new corresponding item was created.
This ensured tasks were correctly categorized and reassignments managed effectively.
